As part of the Raising Starts programme, a workshop dedicated to different startup funding models was held, led by startup founder Jovan Paunović.
Through practical examples, participants explored how the choice of funding depends on the product, industry, stage of development and the team’s goals. Funding needs and opportunities can vary significantly depending on whether a startup is developing a solution in biotechnology, SaaS, deep tech, hardware or another field.
A key message of the workshop was that there is no single funding model that works for every startup. Each team needs to identify the approach that best matches its idea, development stage, long-term objectives and available capacities.
The workshop provided teams with an additional perspective for planning their next steps and making informed decisions as they continue to develop and scale their startups.
The programme is implemented within the project “Technopark Serbia 3 – Innovate Forward”, implemented by Science Technology Park Belgrade with the support of the Government of Switzerland and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
