The DAR – Digital AI and Robotics Sandbox has officially opened at the Science Technology Park Belgrade, providing a new space for startups, researchers and companies developing and testing artificial intelligence-based solutions.
The DAR Sandbox was established to accelerate the journey from an AI idea to a prototype, product and real-world solution by providing users with access to infrastructure and resources that reduce the need for significant upfront investments in their own technology.
The opening of the DAR Sandbox marks another important step in the continued development of Serbia’s AI ecosystem, building on the infrastructure and capacities developed in recent years – from the State Data Centre in Kragujevac and the National Artificial Intelligence Platform to Serbia’s first national supercomputer.
As part of the opening ceremony, a Cooperation Agreement between the Office for IT and eGovernment and the Science Technology Park Belgrade was also signed. The agreement will contribute to stronger connections between institutions, the technology sector, the research community and the innovation ecosystem, supporting joint efforts in the development and application of new digital solutions.
By bringing together infrastructure, knowledge, research and industry, the DAR Sandbox creates an environment where teams and companies can develop, test and implement solutions based on artificial intelligence and robotics.
The opening of this new space marks the beginning of new opportunities for collaboration, experimentation and the development of innovative AI solutions in Serbia.
